bad photo of the first finished drawing i did for my project about moving cities. this one’s about leeds and is centered around the four places i spent most of my time.
the first door is ash crescent, where one of my best mates, jamie, lives with a load of sound guys. happy memories and good vibes abound.
the second is beamsley, the house where a load of my other mates live/ lived (tenants tended to switch about a bit). there was always someone to talk to there and i spent a lot of time there with some of the loveliest people i know, getting messy, chilling and listening to mad beats at all times.
the third one is the cafe i used to work at. i couldn’t find the address so i made up the number on the door. the world’s crappest jukebox is a reference to my boss, who sang tunelessly at all times and whose repertoire was varied enough to include such gems as the bbc news theme tune and peter’s theme from peter and the wolf.
the fourth is of course home. i lived with my beloved mum for twenty years and i love her to pieces.
